The AYA a Grumman Owners & Pilots Association
Dear European 'Grumman' Enthusiast,
The American Yankee Association (AYA) exists to support its members, the Grumman owners and pilots' community, to fly safely and maximise their ownership experience. The AYA invites you to discover the world of membership benefits in an organisation of over 1600 members, dedicated to promote and encourage the safe operation and maintenance of the AA-1 series, AA-5 series, AG-5B, GA-7 and Tiger aircraft. In Europe are more than 80 Grumman owners and pilots who are already AYA members. Member benefits include:
The American Star - Bi-monthly magazine offering member activities, aircraft operational information, maintenance, piloting techniques, aircraft insurance ideas, and much much more!
Technical support - We are looking out for the best interests of American / Grumman / Gulfstream / Tiger owners by actively working with the aviation authorities, Tiger Aircraft and other organisations on issues relating to the safe and efficient operations of your aircraft.
Pilot Training - If you're new to Grummans, AYA's Pilot Familiarisation Program (PFP) will help you transition into the type. The same with recurrency training.
Annual USA Convention - Fun activities, educational seminars, speakers and social events. It's always held in North America and makes for a great holiday as well!
Annual European Fly in - A gathering of likeminded enthusiastic people - Good food, good company and, depending on the organizers whims, interesting places. Previous annual Fly-ins: - 2003 - Welshpool, UK. 2004 - Grenaa, Denmark. 2005 - Valdera, Pisa, Italy. 2006 - Marmande, France.
Adhoc Fly-ins - Who can miss the Leicester Bacon Butty Fly-in? The Grimbergen gatherings? The Cherbourg BBQ's?
The Operation and Maintenance Compendium - Available through The Company Store, which includes all of the technical articles from more than 20 years of The American Star.
The New AYA Website - is now on line.
