Monday, 11th July. Turweston to Kortrijk, Belgium. 186 miles.

We set off in glorious weather, the kind that only comes when I go abroad. Mid English Channel we found solid cloud from 200 feet to 1000 feet however we had sight of the ground again when ten miles inland and were able to get into Kortrijk with no trouble. André was there to meet us and we then met up with Peter at the railway station. That night, we stayed at Andrés's house, Gilberte looking after us, and our stomachs once again.
