Customs again and waiting hours for fuel because of a power failure, consequently no airco or fridges. This was definitely becoming a hot trip! All's well that ends well, the power was restored we got the fuel and took off from Fertoszentmyklos to the "untraceable" airfield of Maklar.On the way we flew just north of Budapest, Hungarian controllers proved to be up to date with technology asking "Do you have GPS on board ?" Answer "Affirm" …." OK , proceed direct to destination!" |

Wieder Zoll und stundenlanges Warten auf Sprit wegen eines Stromausfalls. Natürlich gab es daher auch keine Kühlschränke oder Klimanlagen. Es wurde nun wirklich eine sehr heiße Reise. Aber Ende gut, alles gut: Der Strom kam wieder, wir bekamen Sprit und starteten wieder aus Fertoszentmyklos auf dem Weg zu dem „unauffindbaren" Flugplatz Maklar. Auf dem Weg dorthin flogen wir nördlich von Budapest als die ungarischen Controller - ganz auf der technologischen Höhe- fragten: „Haben Sie GPS an Bord ?" Antwort „Positiv".„Ok, fliegen Sie direkt zum Ziel" |

Thanks to some expert map reading or was it by a mere fluke we all found "Maklar field" and landed safely. |

War es Dank fachmännischer Karteninterpretation oder aus Zufall ? Wir alle fanden "Maklar field" und landeten sicher. |

Eddy a colleague of mine was waiting for us, we chartered a minibus to take us into the hills close to the Slovak border. Again we waited hours for the bus, that's the only reason the beer garden ran out of beer! Eddy, ein Controller Kollege von mir, erwartete uns schon. Wir mieteten einen Minibus der uns in die Berge nahe der slovakischen Grenze brachte. |
