To Portimao (Portigal)

Portimao was a delight. We'd had a foretaste of the effect that Grumpies can have on the other people very soon after landing. On parking we were approached by a rather large Czechoslovakian guy - He seemed to know about us and wanted to join up with us for our nights festivities.

The penny (or is that cent?) dropped - he'd met Paul and Mad Alan the previous evening. They had evidently left a big impression on him! We are still unsure if it was the right one!

We hired a van; some camped, some luxuriated in a hotel. The weather was glorious and we did some serious eating and relaxing. Due to tales of ultra bureaucracy and time wasting, we decided to forego the pleasures of Tangiers and Morocco and instead spend one more day slouching around in Portimao.

With our tans topped up and the urge to get on with our trip we made moves to fly back in to Spain and meet up with more of our comrades - Peter and Angela Marchant - They had kindly invited us to stay at their apartment in a place who's name I can't spell!! Perigues or something!!
(It's between Alicante and Valencia).
