We landed in Stromstad for the ubiquitous customs clearance and fuel before heading south to spend two days in Varberg, another grass airfield 40 miles south of Gothenburg.

From Stord (Norway) to Varberg (Sweden)

Birds on the runway!!

Hi Danny

Do you remember me?

Great fun was had at Varberg, a lovely little town with an exciting nightlife.

It brought life back into an old man's eyes!

It also allowed replacement of G-BFOJ's vacuum pump which had failed a few days before.
Thankfully, the beautiful VFR conditions enabled continued easy lights

It was all change on day two at Varberg. Grumpy Three rejoined us, accompanied by Jens Neergaard in his own AA5.

Grumpy Peter and Grumpy Cow left us at Varberg to visit relatives and friends in other parts of Sweden, whilst we remaining intrepid explorers continued south in to what was old East Germany, but which is now, of course, unified with Germany
