The Grumpy Gang

Being geographically challenged, we set off east to get to the north. The reason was an invitation to Yogi Beck's birthday party to take place over the weekend of July 24-25. A rendezvous flight to the lovely little 2,230-foot grass strip of Lauterbach in Germany was the order of the day.

This entailed a flight across the English Channel, France, and Belgium for half of the participants

We were met at Lauterbach by the handsome Adonis who goes by the name of Yogi.

Anyway, we had two glorious nights at his "schloss", sleeping in the stables, eating well, trying to drink his cellar dry, and meeting some of his family and friends.

One of his pals is a Lufthansa pilot flying European routes in an Airbus 320. Of course, he became an honorary member of the Grumpy group and was aptly renamed "Grumpy Airbus."

We love your earring Paul
