06/06 - 08/06 1992 BOURNEMOUTH U.K. organised by Ian Matterface |
|
Europe by lan Matterface, Area Coordinator The Europe '92 fly-in in Bournemouth, England, in June promised to be the largest gathering of AYA members outside the U.S. Mother Nature had other ideas and only sixteen of the expected 45 aircraft managed to brave the elements and attend. Fifty-two members and guests, however, sat down to the traditional European dinner on Saturday night, with stalwart Euro-fly-in supporters Stu Morse and Kenny Burke, joined by John Fisk and his party, representing the U.S. Also attending were Hal Spragins and Craig Arnold from AGAC, who were conveniently holding a dealers' meeting in Bournemouth over the same weekend. |

During 1992, U.K. membership rose from the low teens to the mid-thirties and continues to grow at the rate of about one per month. One of our new members is Paul Newton, who has moved his home and plane from Philadelphia to London for three years. |
