12/09 - 13/09 1987 NAMUR Belgium organised by Evert Schraverus |

Europe by Manfred Stöcker We had our most recent AYA meeting in Europe the weekend of September 12 and 13, 1987 at Namur, Belgium. I reported to the 21 attending AYA members about our convention at Ames as well as the EAA convention at Oshkosh. A copy of Fletcher's parts calalog was well reviewed and we discussed äs much as we could about Grummans. Time was short due to the French-style meals - two to three hours for lunch and the same for dinner! Our many thanks go to Evert and Reina Schraverus, who were responsible for organizing the event. |

As for 1988, H. J. Ruck plans a long trip in his aircraft in the spring, possibly to the northern ice cap. And in the fall, at the end of September, we intend to have a big event in Munich, to occur during the time of Oktoberfest. No pilot should miss seeing that spectacle at least once in his life. Helmut Rucker will be responsible for setting it up. We have received good press for the AYA in the German flying magazines. Copies have been sent to the AYA secretary for the Association's archives.
